Kwita izina

Kwita Izina is one of the most popular festivals in Rwanda.

Tour du Rwanda

Tour du Rwanda remains among the best cycling competitions in Africa

Tour du Rwanda is rated among the top races registered on the UCI Africa calendar. It has been the biggest annual sporting event on the Rwanda sporting calendar too since 1988. The race is organized by the Rwanda Cycling Federation, the Ministry of Sports and other partners. If visiting Rwanda has been on your bucket list, the Tour du Rwanda offers the perfect chance to fulfil your dreams. This race offers you a chance to see with your own eyes every corner of the country as it takes you on an exhilarating journey through the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western provinces and ultimately finishing in the heart of the capital, Kigali. Nyenge Nyenge

A Four-day dance party staged on simultaneously different stages.

The colourful event was named among the top 30 new festivals in the world in 2017. It is the most important four-day international music festival in East Africa and also Africa’s Best Underground Music Festival. Few African music events have generated as much buzz in recent years as Uganda’s Nyege Nyege festival. The festival is driven on musicians in Africa with a deep interest in getting to know the continent better, generating fun, curiosity and pushing boundaries always with an invitation to wonder. Activities to do after/before; Rafting , Bungee Jumping, Horse riding, Ziplining, Safari trips at Queen Elizabeth NP, Murchision Falls NP and Kidepo National Park, Gorilla or chimp trekking at Bwindi National Park and Kibale National park respectively.

MT. Rwenzori Marathon

The Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon invites professional athletes and amateur runners to challenge themselves in the beautiful Rwenzori Mountains of Western Uganda.
Guests can journey to Kasese to run, explore and experience one of Africa’s hidden gems. Distance; 42 kms, 21 Kms and 5KM fun run. Activities to do after/before; Take in the snowcapped peaks of Uganda’s highest mountain- Rwenzori, roam Queen Elizabeth National Park (where lions climb trees) or take a boat cruise on Lake Edward.

Blankets & Wine

Blankets & Wine showcases 4-5 acts in various styles of urban African music.

Blankets & Wine is a popular event series that gathers an average of 4,000 people per edition. It features urban African music, including afro jazz and afro-Soul, in a laid-back, picnic setting. Attendees enjoy the performances while sipping wine or other drinks on picnic blankets with family and friends. The event has built a strong, loyal community willing to invest time and money in this unique entertainment experience. Popular African artists frequently perform, adding to the event’s appeal. Currently active in Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, Blankets & Wine has consistent success and aims to expand across Africa. Bayimba International Festival of the Arts

One of Uganda's longest-running events for visual and performing arts.

It is a five-day Festival that is held at Bayimba Foundation’s centre on Lunkulu Island which is located off the shores of Lake Victoria in Mukono and Buikwe district.
